Prepare For Your Walk
How do food and drinks work on the tour?
To support our local community and give you complete freedom of choice, all food and drinks are pay-as-you-go. You open your own tab at each venue. We coordinate with the bars in advance to ensure fast service so you can sip, listen to the history, and enjoy the vibe without feeling rushed.
Where should I park?
We highly recommend parking in one of Ybor City's two main covered garages:
Centro Ybor Garage: (15th St & 5th Ave)
Fernando Noriega Jr. Garage: (13th St & Palm Ave)
Bonus Tip: Ybor City features the free, air-conditioned TECO Line Streetcar. If your tour ends a few blocks from your garage, you can hop on the streetcar for a free ride back to your car!
What happens if it rains?
Welcome to Florida! Tours run rain or shine. Our routes utilize the historic wrought-iron balconies of 7th Avenue to keep us shaded and dry. If a sudden afternoon shower hits, your guide carries emergency disposable ponchos for the group, and we simply spend a few extra minutes enjoying a drink inside one of our historic stops until it passes.
What should I wear?
Ybor City is famous for its historic, hand-laid brick streets and active trolley tracks. Comfortable, flat walking shoes are absolutely mandatory. Dress comfortably for the Florida weather.
Pro-Tip: When visiting the historic bars, a light jacket or sweater is recommended for the evening chill.
